Steptoe View

This is a view of an area in eastern Washington from Steptoe Butte. The butte is approximately 3,000 ft. and lies in an area known as the Palouse which encompasses eastern Washington state and western Idaho. It is rolling farmland. Wheat is the primary crop although other crops are grown. I consider it the most beautiful part of this country. This shot was made in June when the fields are green. In August all of this green becomes gold.
