Sticky Stinkhorn Fungus
Mushrooms are amazing. Stinkhorn fungi are especially cool. They exhibit other-wordly features and have a distinct odor to them under close inspection. I discovered this one close to a trail path, early Fall. It stood out from a short distance, as all wild mushrooms typically do.
