My husband and I was taken to a leather shop. The dye for the leather was made in vats from pigeon poo. It was so smelly. The first thing we where handed when we entered the room was a sprig or spearment to counteract the horrible smell. The vats were outside the open window. The leather still contained the smell. The leather is very durable. Cannot burn it either.
