15th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Travel

the photograph is showing the carving details of a part of minaret at jamamasjid at champaner ,the masjid was build on 15th century , this particular photograph shows the combination of Hindu and Muslim architecture, the photograph shows a Jharokha which is decorated with detailed carved shape of lotus. lotus is considered as a holy flower by the Hindus and all the ancient Hindu temples have decorative carvings shaped like lotus. Gujarat is considered as a place form where the mixing of these two architectural styles started.
