Stone Tower by the Ocean, Kipahulu, Maui
Stone towers are often built as a testament to existence...to one's own existence or to honor those passed. On the rugged coast of Kipahulu in Maui, I climbed over a number of pumice boulders to reach the shoreline where I found hundreds of stone towers. The tide came rushing in soon thereafter, but not before I built my own tower to mark my life and to honor those whom I love.
