August 11, 2020. St. Joe, AR. On most days, our neighbor's little dog Simon comes the 1/4 mile over to our house to visit. We drive him back home in the evening and our kids visit and cause mischief together. Besides my kids and the neighbor kids, in this scene there was another kid shuffle going on with the neighbor's Granny dropping a cousin off. Family ties are strong in the Ozarks, with many multi-generational farms and land scattered throughout.
