Annually in January, many Naga Monks & Hindu devotees join Babughat Base Camp in Kolkata to get prepared for the final journey to Sagar Island to join the holy Gangasagar bath on Makar Sankranti day. In those Babughat days the base camp showcases distinctive Hindu rituals by the actions of Monks & pilgrims & keep the spirit of the event alive.
