Strange eyes in a strange place

This photo depicts a stone sheep, which is a rare creature found only in small areas of the Yukon and British Colombia territories of Canada. They are a very sturdy species (otherwise they wouldn’t be able to live where they do) and have dramatic eyes. When my family was driving through Canada, we were all hoping that we would be lucky enough to spot one of these beautiful animals. We did- right off the Alcan highway in Stone Mountain Provincial Park.
