In the image a dead tree stands like a totem pole a reminder of the past and when it stood healthy in the ground. The limbs of the tree have been sawn off by the human who stands triumphantly at the top. The child at the base of the tree looks up at the dead tree symbolic of the strange and destructive legacy left behind by previous generations.
