Straw Farm
This is a straw farm, located deep in the Brazilian sertão (our outbacks). This straw is extracted from a locally-grown plant named "sisal" (Agave sisalana), then dried under the 40ºC-ish sun and sold for absurdly low prices. These farmers live under nearly inhuman conditions of poverty, in spite of their heavy work.
