Stream Of Light
The sound, smell and sights alongside clean running water soothe the soul. I am fortunate to live in a place of abundant clean, flowing water, and strive to break down at least the visual sensory experience of this water into moments of color and pattern. I often use a portrait lens to do so, trying to make images that express the living nature of the water and rock it shapes. Here, the varying colors of the stream bed and the patterns of water flowing across them are made vivid by sunlight refracting in shallows.
