Street religious parade in Jaipur, India, August 2022, elephant

After the day's excursion, it was a pleasant surprise to catch an unexpected street parade in Dzajpur. The importance of a ceremony is counted by the number of elephants. This parade was not very important, as there were only two elephants. There was also no king. Our guide was at a party of 100 elephants. A law has now gone into effect in India prohibiting the procurement of elephants for labor. Once these elephants die, no more can be caught.
