18th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest People
Street vegetable vendor

Selling vegetables in the streets is usually done by housewives to augment their family income since the husbands have no regular job and this affect their way of living. For people belonging to the lower class of society, it becomes imperative for both husband and wife to find work in order to support and feed their family and afford to send their children to school.
