Surprisingly, this shot was taken just down the street from my house. There’s a restricted mountain to the east of my home, and on one particularly stormy night filled with rain and lightning, I was able to capture this powerful moment of a lightning strike. The raw energy of the storm contrasted with the quiet stillness of the landscape, creating a stunning, dramatic scene right in my own backyard.
