I noticed this plant when I was hiking in the valley of Birzeit -Palestine with my father, next to the big white flat rocks that our family used to go to often when we were kids. This strong-featured sharp plant stood in the face of the urbanization of that area, unlike many other natural elements. I found this plant to be proud, unshaken and inspiring.
