Studio Portrait ; Black and White edit.

'A Caravaggio Vibe' The photograph wishes to convey notions of otherness, I wanted to use the power of the reptile to portray the power of conformity and the affect i believe it has upon human intellect. The snake also represents a strength of identity that seems to loose itself to controlling agents through society. The Italian artist Caravaggio was not fearful of how he represented subjects within his paintings and the energy within some of his work successfully conveys this, I wanted to my image to ask the viewer to consider and challenge conformity in connection to the self.
