Groups of humpback whales coming to Japan had been declining in numbers, but thanks to conservation efforts, they are now recovering; in 2022, we were able to observe 1,750 whales, the largest number ever. Black-and-white photos often tend to be inorganic, but her eye for detail has given these inorganic photos a strong life force.
