17th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest People
Submerged
This image represents my self as I feel towards the aftermath of Hurricane María in my motherland Puerto Rico. I also I try to depict my sentiments in relation to the political relationship between my country and the United States. Since 1898, thru the invasion, the U.S.A. has repeatedly abuse the people of Puerto Rico until now. No democracy at all.
