My wife, brother-in-law, and I encountered this beautiful view about midway through the over 18 mile hike in Zion National Park. The Subway route involves semi-technical climbing through a slot canyon while wearing wetsuits after a long approach. The camera and tripod were secured in a dry bag that floated atop the water during sections that required swimming in around 40 degree water. As we curved around the final bend in the slot canyon, a large room appeared with the sun lighting a portion of the tunnel and a turquoise pool of water.
