Suffering in Silence

Menstruation is a sign of a healthy body for a woman of reproductive age. Some experience excruciating pain while others don't. It is as normal & individual as it can get and any problem or discomfort must be tried to put at bay. Unfortunately, the Stigmas attached to it in many under developed & developing nations are so strong that women prefer suffering than seeking medical help. For many, the door to understanding the basics of menstruation is closed and accessing hygienic products are beyond imagination. Often women feel the need to visit a gynaecologist only after a prolonged suffering. Unaware of problems like Uterine polyps/fibroids, endometriosis, PID, PCOS, Premature ovarian Insufficiency, they chose to simply bear it all. Let's break the wall of stereotyping and shaming to avoid holding back these women from seeking help. It's also important that steps be taken by the government to promote knowledge and provide accessible help for women across the country.
