Sulfur miner in Kawa Ijen caldera, Java (2)

Sulfur mining, a near-suicidal job involving heavy physical labor inside a cloud of corrosive fumes, hauling 70-80 kg loads of mineral sulfur up and down steep paths and lack of water, reduces the lifespan of workers to 5-7 years. The background, the caldera itself, is however beautiful.
