One of my absolute favorite things to do is take the one-block walk to the Belmont Prairie from my house and photograph nature. This is my safe spot, where I find peace after a hectic day and sometimes just spending 30 minutes there is all I need to find my center. Hours pass and I don't even notice. I'm not sure what type of plant this is, but it was taken in Mid-July and most of the plants in the prairie are native.
