17th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Summer Essence
This photo was taken in a field of sunflowers in Woodland, California. I asked a friend to take a short trip with me to capture the natural beauty of sunflower fields. It was sweltering outside, pushing 106 degrees, but capturing these beauties was worth it.
