Although the California sea lion (Zalophus californianus) is not considered endangered, there are provisions in place for their protection. Sustainable travel involves protecting the ecology of every place--even those to which one has not yet traveled. Visiting accredited zoological parks like this one contributes to conservation efforts for many species.
