This is a composite of an August morning Sun enshrouded in smoke from Southern California wildfires (Bobcat and El Derado) and a full moon from the August moon known as the "Sturgeon Moon". For the moon: it was a clear calm night. I shot it as it was rising above the houses so to take advantage of it's size in the sky position. For the sun: I was looking out the back window in the mid morning and noticed the smoke from the wildfires overlaying the sun and I was able to look at it without eye strain. So I grabbed my camera and took a pic through the window.
