My mother had an aneurysm burst in January, leaving her wheelchair bound with severe cognitive deficits. When talking with her, she is often unresponsive, almost like she is in a deep fog. Sometimes, though, she has these moments of clarity, like sunbreaks on a cloudy day. This was one of those moments.
