Sunday School In Mondomil

I have to admit I’ve always had my reservations about the church, more so on the impact it’s had on PNG’s cultural traditions. My experience during my stay in this particular village has changed certain aspects of that, in this village I see children who are disciplined, respectful to their elders, understand the importance of keeping a clean village by having work parade every Tuesday, positively participating in village life and most of all understanding the importance of sustainability. What a contrast to Urban City kids I see that the village children have more of a chance of living a healthier and more purposeful life than those of the city. A notion that was once the other way around. You have to hand it to this church, for instilling strong values that in turn has built a strong foundation for the youths of this village.
