Sundown on the Volcano
While traveling in Guatemala with family, we took a trip to climb Volcan Picaya. One of the options offered by the tour guides is to ride horses up to a mid-level ridge, where we roasted marshmallows in the thermal vents. (The volcano had been increasingly active for the previous few days, and the higher elevations were closed). It was definitely worth it to me to spend the extra money for that experience!
