While enrolled in summer courses at Harvard University the summer of my senior year in high school, I often passed a peaceful garden oasis in the heart of downtown Cambridge. I loved the solitude, and the this stunning sunflower reminded me not only of my far off home in sunny, tropical Hawaii, but also of the simple goodness in warm yellow sunshine and a smiling flower blossom.
