16th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
sunny-misty-breath

Upon nearing my destination of Grindelwald, I looked up from my map of the train lines which I had been attempting to decipher, to be met with the most amazing scene. The blinding sun powered through thick low hanging clouds which clung to the valley and the mountains. Without time to think, I set my camera settings and began shooting through the window. Sadly, most of the images were lost as I made a mistake and left the aperature wide open, over exposing every image. However I just happened to notice this in one of the previews in time to correct this error and I was gifted with a large flock of birds swooping, just asking to be captured in an image.
