This summer I had a one-day stopover in Bergamo, Italy. A beautiful city in the Lombardi area in the North of Italy. After spending one night there, I had to catch my flight back home to Germany at 06:20am, which meant that I had to get up extremely early to be there on time. Since I assumed that it would be rather quiet at the airport during this time, I arrived around 5am and found a gigantic queue of people waiting to enter the airport. Since Boarding ended at 5:40 I got really scared to miss my flight. Luckily and thanks to the nice people at that airport who had let me go past them at the security check-in, I made it on time by running to the gate as fast as I could. Finally, after taking off, I got to witness the sunrise above the Italian alps. I pulled out my 70-300mm tele zoom lens and tried to capture as much as I could from my window seat. In this specific photo, my focus lay on capturing the layers of the mountains across the Alps.
