This photo was taken on an expedition to the Lofoten Islands on the western coast of Norway in January 2020. The temperature was 30°F with 40 mph wind gusts. I climbed the ridge and was barely able to maintain my balance using my tripod in near darkness at 4:30 AM. At sunrise I was able to capture this amazing scene.
