I am taking a photography class dealing with different types of light. For months, I have been watching wonderful sunrises from my balcony in Chevy Chase, MD. I decided to get up well before sunrise and drive to the Lincoln Memorial to get a spot to capture the sun coming up behind the Washington Monument. On October 3, 2021, sunrise was to be at 7:10 AM. To set up and find a spot, I was on-site by 5:30 AM. Good thing. At about 6:30 AM you could begin to see the glow of sunrise. This was captured at 6:35 AM.
