A traditional hand made log home in Tatlayoko Lake BC. Although seemingly lush and green, fire danger in this area has become a constant threat. Massive fires have burned thousands of acres, in the foreground of this image is a special water pump designed for fighting fires. This is one of three pumps ready to go at all times during the summer, a sad reality for rural people who are constantly under threat from a drier hotter climate.
