16th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Sunset at Badlands National Park.
While driving back to Colorado from Minnesota my husband and I stopped at Badlands National Park for the evening. While driving the main loop we pulled over to admire the sunset against the rock formations that seemed to appear out of nowhere.
