Sunset at Winter Solstice over New York Harbor
A prefect confluence of overlapping structures in Lower Manhattan and New York Harbor makes for an unusual sundial of sorts as the sun makes its way across the sky with the seasons. Viewed from the Lower East Side, the sun sets exactly at the low point of the Brooklyn Bridge on the Winter Solstice. The Statue of Liberty can be seen between buildings and behind the Manhattan Bridge, on the right.
