14th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Sunset near Churaz, Peru
I was crossing the Cordillera Blanca when on the way bac to Huaras a caught a glimpse of the snowy peak emerging from the clouds. I took out my tripod and spent several minutes photographing this magnificent view of sunset, peaks and glaciers.
