I was hiking with some friends from The Netherlands, planning to sleep up on the mountain. I brought all my camera gear with me, as landscape photography and nightscape photography are my passions. The entire day was plagued by clouds, and I lost a little hope in actually getting some nice landscape shots. Luckily, just before sunset and as we reached our mountain refuge, the skies cleared. We found a nice spot on the ledge, and while my friends were casually talking, I was clicking away with my camera, to capture this beautiful sunset illuminating the Säntis range.
