This photo is showing Mount Baker, an active volcano in Washington State. My favorite view of Mount Baker is that seen from the summit of Mount Pilchuck. I had climbed Mount Pilchuck early in the day in order to set up photo compositions so when sunset came I would be prepared. Although I had been to the summit of Mount Pilchuck many times before, this evening was the most phenomenal sunset I had seen in a long time, regardless of my location.
