Sunset over the Great Salt Lake
Though this image is aesthetically pleasing, the seaming expanse of beach, is in actuality lakebed. In July of 2021, the water level of the Great Salt Lake was recorded at the lowest point since the measurements began in 1875. Though the increase in salinity makes for some pleasantly buoyant swimming, from this vantage point, the threat of losing the iconic dead sea like lake altogether is understood.
