I took this photo in June on a sunny day when the varied contents of our large pond were especially lit up. When I viewed this photo later on I was pleased by the amount of detail I captured and how, all together, the pieces of the image appeared to create what I viewed as a piece of art. This inspired me to continue seeking out natural subjects that, viewed in the abstract, were more akin to paintings than realistic photos.
