Surreal - Juvenile Green Sea Turtle
During an early morning visit to Sebastian Inlet State Park after observing nesting green sea turtles along Brevard County south beaches, I noticed a fisherman on the inlet jetty had just caught a stingray on his line. Obviously, an unintentional catch, the fisherman slowly and deliberately reeled the stingray in as he walked down the jetty onto the beach so he could remove the hook. One of the stingray's wings hit a log, located just below the jetty where I was standing, as it was being towed in the stingrays wing swiped under the log. Suddenly, a small juvenile green sea turtle hiding beneath it, came bursting up to the surface.
