Svartifoss waterfall, Vatnajökull national park, Iceland
What makes Svartifoss waterfall special is the interesting ancient volcanic basalt columns that flank it. Under certain conditions the water flows but it's cold enough to pile up as snow at the bottom. This place epitomizes the "land of fire and ice."
