Swimmers at the starting line take their turns diving into the water as lifeguards and water police observe and guide the participants cross Lake Zurich from Mythenquai to Tiefenbrunnen. Named Stadtzürcher Seeüberquerung (which translates to lake crossing) is a non-competitive summer swimming event.
