I took this capture right where the Chau Doc River and Bassac River meet in Vietnam’s An Giang province, near its border with Cambodia. At one time there was a thriving floating market in this area. Now, it is but a shadow of its former self. Still, you will find many who get around by boat either for their work or transportation. I was fortunate this woman ventured close enough to the nearby shoreline where waters are much smoother, allowing me to get this photo with a mirror reflection. In the middle of the boat you can see a scale for weighing produce, along with a plastic carry bag just behind. Both are items you see everywhere throughout Vietnam. But someday, floating markets you may not.
