Tahua Nights

Tahua, Volcan Tanupa and the night Sky reflected in the Salar de Uyuni. The stark and beautiful altiplano sparkles at night, with some of the darkest skies on earth it's a spectacular spot to see and photograph the milky way. Legend says that volcanoes used to be able to move around. Volcan Tanupa was beautiful and had many suitors. When she had a child, the jealous suitors fought, stole her child and hid him from her. The gods were furious, so they made the volcanoes still like stone. Tanupa was heartbroken and her milky tears ran down and formed the Salar de Uyuni.
