Takes Two to Tango

Flatid Leaf Bugs are a relatively common site in rainforests in Madagascar. The bugs can often be found on tree barks with their very distinctly white colored nymphs. The nymphs and bugs are known to suck on plant phloem and possibly communicate through vibrations on the bark. Hence, the affinity to gather in large numbers on tree barks.
