Taktsang 8

High above the forested cliffs of Bhutan, a mountaintop monastery occupies the foreground, its red and golden roof catching the soft morning light as mist drifts around it. In the distance, Taktsang Palphug Monastery—Tiger’s Nest—clings dramatically to the sheer rock face, its white walls glowing against the rugged mountainside. Built in 1692 around a sacred cave where Guru Padmasambhava meditated in the 8th century, it adds a powerful sense of history to the scene.
