13th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
While photographing in the Florida Everglades, I noticed a large increase in the numbers of vultures in the ecosystem. This particular morning, just after sunrise, was dew laden and many of the birds were drying their wings in the sun.
