14th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Tangerine Skies

When my friends and I parted ways after our high school graduation, most of us either stayed in New York or went to different parts of the country. Within the first week of classes they were saying how much they missed Long Island sunsets. With this exclamation I set out for about three months photographing the beautiful sunsets that my town gets. Due to us largely being a fishing community we are surrounded by water, which allows easy acces to water ways such as this one.
